The barber behind the chair
Eric has been cutting hair since high school. What began as something he did for friends became the work he wanted to do every day. He barbers in Adrian, Michigan, and makes house calls within 20 miles for $50 plus the services.

It started in high school
Eric picked up clippers as a pastime and never really put them down. Friends sat in the chair first. Word moved the way it does in a small town, and the pastime turned into a trade.
He loves the shop itself
Some of it is the room. The sound of the clippers, the chair, the mirror, and the talk that fills the space between them. A real barber shop has an aura you cannot manufacture, and Eric protects it. The authenticity is the point, not a decoration on top of the service.
The people are the reason
Eric talks with everyone who sits down, and he listens more than he talks. He learns what you do, how you wear your hair through the week, and what you actually want. That conversation is half the reason he does this work.
And then the mirror
There is a moment at the end of every cut. You turn toward the mirror, you see yourself, and you sit up a little straighter. A good haircut changes how a person carries themselves for the rest of the week.
That moment is what keeps Eric in the chair.
