Accessibility Statement
Last updated July 25, 2026
Eric the Barber is committed to making ericthebarber.com usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation or magnification. We target WCAG 2.1 level AA. If something blocks you, email eric@ericthebarber.com and we will fix it.
The accessibility panel
Every page carries an accessibility button in the bottom-right corner. Opening it lets you adjust the site to suit how you read, including:
- Ready-made profiles for vision, motor, cognitive and seizure-safe needs.
- Larger text, wider letter and line spacing, and a dyslexia-friendly typeface.
- High contrast, inverted and monochrome colour modes.
- A reading mask and reading guide to help you keep your place.
- Bigger cursor, highlighted links and headings, and paused animation.
Your choices are remembered on your device so you do not have to set them again.
What we have built in
- A skip link to jump straight to the main content.
- Semantic landmarks and one clear H1 on every page.
- Visible focus outlines on every interactive element.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Labels on every form field, with errors announced to assistive technology.
- Touch targets sized at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Reduced-motion support for people who prefer less movement.
- Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds.
Conformance status
Eric the Barber is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the content meets the standard, and we are working on the parts that do not yet.
Known limitations
- Booking happens on Booksy, a third-party website we do not control. If you have trouble booking there, call or text +1 (734) 508-2949 and Eric will book you himself.
- Machine translation is provided by Google Translate. Translated wording is not reviewed by us.
